Low Cost Websites for Non-Profits and Ministries | Budget Websites

A small budget is no reason to miss out on a website, it just means that you need to be realistic.

Non-profit ministries, charities and organisations are often run on a low budget – and for good reason. “Not for profit” organisations are usually established for the good and benefit of others, not for the good and wealth of the managers and CEO’s.

Charities rarely generate significant “cash” finances and when funds are generated, they are best used serving those that the organisation was intended for. Finances are not meant to be spent lining the pockets of a high paid marketing team. Does that mean that they shouldn’t have a website though? No. At Budget Websites, we make low cost website’s a reality. We keep it simple and utilise open source technology (free software), so that we don’t have to charge big prices to cover expensive software licenses.

I recently set up a low cost website for a non-profit ministry called Empart.

It has it’s head office in Melbourne, but with a new office and ministry about to open in New Zealand, they needed a low cost website in a big hurry. They already had a great logo and colour scheme. They needed a simple Content Management System because they wanted a number of staff and volunteers to be able to make their own updates and website changes.

Here is the website that I developed for them within 3 days of being contacted, using WordPress as the CMS and a simple, minimalistic template design (similar to my own website!).
