Contortion Website | Budget Websites

I just launched a website for a client and thought I’d write up a quick promotional blog post to promote their site.

I was contacted by Andrew who is involved in managing the Australian Contortion and Hand-balancing Festival in Melbourne this year. I was relatively unaware of the whole phenomena until shows like Australia’s Got Talent and the X-Factor started having Contortionist performers appear on their shows recently. It is amazing how flexible some of these guys and gals are!

Andrew wanted a simple, clean design for his website. He wanted a blog or “latest news” feature (with built-in RSS feed) where he could make regular updates about the upcoming festival and other future events and contortion performances.

He had a limited website budget and needed the site up in a hurry and I was able to get his site designed, built and LIVE within 3 days. He wanted a website that had a CMS (Content Management System) that would enable him to make his own updates and changes. We discussed the pros and cons of different Content Management Systems (in particular, Joomla and WordPress) and decided that WordPress would be the most suitable for the purposes of his new website.

The website has been launched, so please check it out and if you are in Melbourne in October, try and make it to the Australian Contortion and Hand-balancing Festival.
